Congratulations to Kwaku Alston, Craig Cutler, and Nadav Kander, all three of whom were published in the PDN 2013 Photo Annual.
Kwaku was honored in the Video category for his short film Children of the Rainbow. Craig was featured in the Advertising category for a Procter & Gamble campaign for Venus that he shot for BBDO.
And Nadav was honored in multiple categories: in Photo Books for his monograph Bodies. 6 Women, 1 Man., published by Hatje Cantz; twice in Magazine/Editorial, for a portrait he shot of President Barack Obama for Time and for his “Titans of the Stage” portraits shot for The New York Times Magazine; and twice in the Advertising category, for a campaign about the dangers of secondhand smoke that he shot for Dare and for a Morgan Stanley campaign that he photographed for the Martin Agency.
Nadav also is the recipient of this year’s Epson Creativity Award, presented to a photographer “who demonstrates originality and creativity in his or her approach to black-and-white photography.”
