The School, an upstate New York gallery run by Jack Shainman, recently opened a retrospective of work by famed artist Andres Serrano in conjunction with a group multimedia show called “Home Room” that features artists including Laurie Simmons, Nick Cave, and Huma Bhabha. Guzman photographed Serrano for Upstate Diary and shot a portrait of Shainman with his partner, the artist Carlos Vega.
